Happy Birthday to me!

Thanks to EVERYONE on Facebook and phone calls...for wishing me a happy birthday!  I thank you all for taking those few moments of your time to send some love!  I really appreciate it!!!!

I turned 34 today (the 21st).

I'm not ashamed of my age....and probably never will be. Though I'm tempted, I hate this feeling "we" get when we say our age, like it is a bad thing.  I used to think so....until I got the revelation of just enjoying life as we are.  We age, we grow older, our bodies change, our lives changes.  That is just how it goes.
Accept that CHANGE is the most constant thing in our life. :)

I enjoyed some enlightening time today...as well as some insight into what is next for me as a business person and artist.  I have so much that I would like to accomplish and I just pray I get connected with the right friends and the right "team" to launch to the next levels.  :)  I have so much to give this world...and some of it takes investments.  I'm looking forward to these future opportunities coming my way. :)

I posted a great video of my Grandma leaving me a message not only for my birthday, but to see the Blue Man Group perform on Regis & Kelly. ;)  Aww! so sweet!!!!

Again, thanks for the LOVE on my birthday, I'm glad to have been born...so I could meet each of you and leave a spark in your life! :)

Have a great week!

Jen

ARTS ARTS ARTS ARTS ARTS ARTS ARTS

THE ARTS - COMING SOON....DETAILS SOON....EVERYTHING SOON!!!!
I love how everything keep unfolding subtley...and opporutnities present themselves...and I awaken another part of my creative vision & tasks here on earth.  I'm hoping that I didn't ask too much by sending an email, but what I did realize...is that I'm only a moment away from achieving yet another dream scape if I so chose to grab it and just ask.  :)  So I wrote an email...and either way the ART is going to happen inspired by this place...but I know that how cool it would be to get inspired by a room...and make art. :)  I felt like a super-junior interior designer, but didn't even think about it until they said "you can do most anything as long as they can paint it back to what it was"....well........doesn't that leave a lot of thinking to do!!! Anyways, I'm being cryptic on purpose....because I'm not sure what this holds, but what it does hold in my heart is POTENTIAL for more art to be made & seen.

So take this as it is....a moment in time...where I'm excited....
yet again................
to see where these things lead. :)

On another FUN NOTE:

CONNECTIONS IN NYC???????????
If you or anyone you know live in/around NYC - I would like to hear from you.  I'm thinking about a trip up in the fall and in order to do this - I would need to book some photography jobs up there.  Be it family, photojournalistic documentation, following a fashion designer, anything photographically !  Let me know if you have contacts and get them in contact with me! Thank you!

IT IS TIME! GirlShow STARTS tonite at 8pm!

So I've blabbed, annoyed and posted as many things as I knew how to do...to talk about GirlShow this year!  I'm so excited to really EXPERIENCE this event tonite.  Last year I did work at it and only halfway enjoyed it (because I had double booked myself with a wedding).  But THIS YEAR, I get to immerse myself, meet some more new folks....and have fun!

I'm going to show up hopefully around 830 or 9pm to start my mingling rounds! :)
I hope to see some of you there!!!! I'm going to be a walking promise.  I don't have "pride", but I do have PROMISE.  I know that God has blessed me...and above everything else he blessed me with? FREEDOM!

Anyways.

Stay tuned for video highlights & photo highlights of tonite's event.  I'll  be one of MANY photographers there using my creativity to capture these moments...as they happen.

ENJOY.

Be sure to get your tickets NOW and find out all you need to know at www.artlovemagic.com

Fun times on the Candace & Mimi Radio show!!!!!

I asked a couple of great girls to let me come in & talk about the girlShow coming up (and talk about myself and business).  I figure any practice is good practice!  I am still laffing at myself because I try to get better at speaking everytime I step out like this.  I have a feeling I'm getting better, I don't stay focused for too long because I'm usually unsure about the other parties involved. :) hehehe!!!  I'm just really excited about the girlShow coming up because I know itz going to be a very very fun community event with lots of fun, creativity, art and more.  I can't believe it is almost here.  My camera is very very happy to go have fun! :)

Here is video 1 from last nite! :)

Love Jen

Thanks Candace & Mimi!!!! Yall rock it out ladies!

An exercise from Sherlock Marketing: (thank you Nathon)

An exercise posted by Sherlock Marketing (on Facebook) :)
Thanks Nathon!

So I answered the questions...
What do I know, like and trust about myself?
Me = Jen / rarmai photography....

I know that I......................
• I know that I am able to listen, hear and execute the dreams of my clients.
• I know that I have a creative eye that is only mine and that my best work happens when I go with my gut feelings on a job....
• I know that I have to keep learning and challenging myself in my creative gifts and talents.
• I know that without help I can’t do everything! I am thankful for my current supporters and my future team-mates & supporters to help make Rarmai & my life great!

I like myself because...........

• I like myself because my main motivation is to help others and please them!
• I like myself because of my ability to be flexible while still plan out ideas & concepts. I believe that there is a great balance of both in my life.
• I like myself because I’m not afraid of failure and mistakes, though I do my best to prevent them from happening all the time. I’m not afraid to learn through them and improve BECAUSE of them.
• I like myself because when I want to make something happen, I make it happen. When all the worlds collide with passion, vision and TIMING – the results are amazing to me.
• I like myself because I am living in my purpose, I’m not just “doing work” or “shooting photos”. I’m truly living a small portion of what I was created to do. I can’t wait to see MORE of what my life holds.

I trust myself to.........................
• I trust myself to come from a heart-felt motivation to help others with their vision & purpose.
• I trust myself to stay true to who I am, what I create and how I can make a difference with my gifts & talents.
• I trust myself to move forward and never give up!

Thanks to Nathon Hay for posting that on his FB page.  I need to start really wording things out more...there is something about writing your vision, mission & passion down!!!!

This is why the say....ALWAYS...........have a vision & mission statement for your business!
(and sometimes, yes for your life)

some new photos! :)

I'm running on track with some events/portraits and wedding I did recently...here are a couple of my fun collages from my gallery that you can find at www.rarmai.smugmug.com

This is Gwan! She is studying to cut hair...how cool is that?  She already has awesome hair...so I can't wait to see what she does next...and all the fun stuff she will learn!!!!  I felt a little "cyborgish" when creating on one of her photos.  I had hoped she would not mind! :)  I kinda got that x-man/cyborg feel when I was creating this main photo...and I liked how her black cotton shirt kinda turned into a leathery look. :) VERY interesting. :)

Here is a quick "postcard" from the wedding I helped Catoe with on June 26th...It was truly one of the coolest cultural weddings I've been to yet!  German and Peruvian union!  So so cool! :)

I hope everyone is having a wonderful day....

stay tuned for more details about a radio show interview coming MONDAY!!!!
WHOO HOO :)

Ok, lots of love to ya!
