Introducing: the Aurora Borealis Bride! :) September 2011

I'm posting this picture...because to me, it is significant to what I do. :)
Plus, I was inspired when I PRINTED this!!!! It was very beautiful.!!!!!
This is from a September 2011 wedding.

So maybe most of you don't "get it".

That is ok!  The great thing about being an artist is just that.  There are a lot of things that I may do in this lifetime that make no sense to you, but simply are reflections of visions within ME.

This picture came about FIRST by observing the colors of the stained-glass windows of the Catholic Church....and having her sit among those colors to give a very interesting and different perspective on a bride to be.  Everyone has their own voice & style - and she is no different.  She is unique!

After I took this, I was pleased with the original outcome, but wanted to take it a step further when I saw this same phenomenon reflecting on the floor during the ceremony.  Then, with all my creativity in motion - I created this cloudy swirl of haze surrounding her.   I do call this my Aurora Borealis bride - because if you have ever seen those lights in real life or in picture - they kind give this kindof GLOW.  You know?

So, I ask you - photographers out there - what kind of lighting scenario can you capture today, that gives you that same "feel"?  Is it a streetlamp?  An oven light?  A laser pointer?  Go out and play and find your light!

Book Release! AND a teaser bridal...

Last week was the great release of a fun book....
actually, probably a powerful book....The Supernatural You! 
I was able to do the headshot for Joel...and it was GREAT fun!

And for your photography pleasure....I went off to a venue I'm starting to work with...and I was testing out the scenery with a willing bride who gets married sunday!  Way way fun.  More to come, but for now...enjoy this little one!

Seniors 2011........(and maybe even 2012) ahaha!!!

So, I have been a goof and forgot to mention...umm............I love love love shooting portraits too! You know!  So if you have some Seniors in high school in your life...that are graduating, but may have forgotten to get awesome photos?  Well, bring them to me!!!!

Making amazing out of seemingly "impossible" :)

I just got this amazing testimonial from Carlisa and had to share...this is why I do what I do! Only they and I know the struggles and intricacies that led up to her big day...and when it came - we had FUN!  No worries! No stresses!  Just plain ol celebrations! :)  Thank you Carlisa and Jason. :)

It was a great day today! I hope to share some images with you as time goes on....of my little shoot today....meanwhile...the ARTS event for Japan went really well.  I wasn't able to really donate a piece for it, but found that a lot of my friends did - and excitedly so - I saw most of them tonite.  I love my new growing family.  I love seeing everyone connect in so many ways...and how we all come together to create....love...and do something MEANINGFUL to make a difference.
